Official launch of construction work on a new marketplace and regional bus station in Fort-Dauphin. 2.5 billion ariary has been allocated for the construction of a market and regional and national bus station, with work launched this week in the urban municipality of Fort-Dauphin. This project fulfills a promise announced by the president of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar, Colonel Michaël Randrianirina. The infrastructure project is financed by the Malagasy State through the Coordination Unit for Economic Recovery and Social Action Projects (CCPREAS). The planned duration of the work is set at 18 months. Upon completion, the project should improve conditions for traders, facilitate the organization of regional and national transport, and contribute to the modernization of Fort-Dauphin's urban infrastructure. The launch ceremony was attended by deputy Chabani Nourdine and the mayor of the urban municipality of Fort-Dauphin, Andry Andriamahasoro. Local authorities are banking on this infrastructure to boost trade and strengthen the city's economic appeal.
