However, they can become serious if not treated in time," Esia states. Hypertension and diabetes are two frequently associated conditions. In addition to damaging artery walls, they can increase the risk of developing other diseases such as kidney failure, heart failure, or stroke. This is the second diabetes and hypertension screening organized by Esia as part of celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
