A body has been discovered. Witnesses reported finding a man, estimated to be around 20 years old, at the botanical garden in Tsimbazaza yesterday. The body was found lifeless at the scene. Burns were visible on his face, eyes, and surrounding areas. The discovery was made around 7 a.m. The garden's security staff noticed smoke and flames. Notably, the incident occurred outside the park perimeter. According to reports, security personnel quickly responded to the situation and attempted to extinguish the fire to prevent it from spreading to nearby areas. At that moment, the body of the young man was also discovered. Sources suggest this person may have been among those living without shelter. Apart from fire damage to his face, no other injuries were found on his body. Shortly after, the incident spread on social media, attracting attention from many people and children. Speculation arose about the circumstances of the death, with some claiming items had been taken from the scene—claims denied by local authorities. Nevertheless, the incident remains troubling, and police are taking full responsibility for investigating all aspects of this case. The body has been taken by the forensic unit to the HjRA Ampefiloha morgue, pending identification by family members or those who may know the deceased.
