Église Jesosy Mamonjy: Final preparations underway for tomorrow's election
Electoral preparations are entering their final phase for the renewal of the Board of Directors of Église Jesosy Mamonjy Foibe Ankorondrano. According to Maurice Rakotomandiby, president of the Electoral Organization Committee (COE), all logistical and administrative arrangements are now 95% finalized, confirming the holding of the ballot for next Saturday at the central site of Ankorondrano. Officials remind that access to polling stations remains subject to strict regulatory conditions. Only baptized faithful holding the new voter card and new baptism certificate will be authorized to cast their votes. For members residing within a radius of 20 km to 50 km from the capital, voting by proxy through a delegated pastor has been formally approved to centralize votes. Security measures The COE reports that pastors are already gathered at Ankorondrano to oversee voting operations, which also include Church representations in Canada and the United States. Facing protest movements led by a minority of pastors estimated at 10%, administrative authorities have implemented rigorous preventive measures. In addition to installing a temporary fence to channel gatherings within the premises, a significant police force will be deployed from the early hours of Saturday. This mobilization aims to secure the perimeter, prevent any incidents, and ensure public order throughout this electoral event.
