Tsimbazaza - Charred body found in bamboo grove
A charred body was discovered yesterday morning in a bamboo grove near the entrance to Tsimbazaza zoological and botanical park. According to information gathered, it appears to be a man in his forties whose identity remains unknown. His body was severely burned and his eyes had disappeared, likely consumed by the flames. Based on initial findings, the victim apparently died after getting too close to a fire he had lit himself to keep warm. A guard, alerted by flames and smoke, discovered the body in the vegetation. The deceased was known to local residents as a marginal man suffering from mental disorders, often seen in the Tsimbazaza, Mahamasina and Anosy neighborhoods. He had dreadlocks and walked with a slight limp. Municipal hygiene officers transported the body in a van before depositing it at the morgue of Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona hospital. The criminal brigade has opened an investigation, in accordance with procedures in cases of death.
