A critical writing workshop is currently underway at Fondation H's premises. This module, integrated into the Mayaz Pro program, brings together young authors and artists from Madagascar, Mauritius, and Réunion. It constitutes the second module of the Ainga training program, led by Fondation H. Facilitated by author and critic Leïla Quillacq, this training period is part of an Indian Ocean cultural cooperation dynamic. The objective is clear: collectively reflect on the challenges of contemporary art criticism, by developing situated perspectives and experimenting with various forms of writing, such as analysis, narrative, and storytelling. The workshop revolves around the Kabarinjavakanto exhibition, curated by Abdellah Karroum. Participants observe artworks, exchange ideas, write and revise their texts in a collaborative approach. The expected outcome is the creation of a collective fanzine, a genuine editorial laboratory where island perspectives and Global South resonances intersect. This project, funded by the European Union through the INTERREG VI Indian Ocean program, aims to strengthen links between the region's artistic scenes while promoting professionalization and the emergence of critical voices. The workshop presentation will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Fondation H.
