Madagascar aims to welcome one million tourists by 2028, three times more than the initial target. As part of its recovery and gradual return, the national airline has just reopened its commercial office located on avenue Gillon in Mahajanga. This ticket sales point resumes operations after several years of closure to get closer to its travelers. In this perspective, Madagascar Airlines is also expected to resume the Air Madagascar name by the end of the year. The company reopened its Mahajanga commercial office last week, which welcomed its first customers on Friday, July 10. "This initiative is part of the transformation dynamic undertaken by the company to evolve its offerings. The reopening of the office strengthens its presence in the regions, supports the development of served territories, and reaffirms its role as the national airline. Our Mahajanga office welcomed its first customers, marking a new step in bringing the company closer to its travelers," declared an airline official last Friday. The airline offers about ten regular direct flights per week connecting Ivato airport in Antananarivo to Amborovy airport in Mahajanga, for several years now. While the direct line between Mayotte and Mahajanga offers an average of five flights per week. These quick connections of approximately one hour are particularly operated by EWA Air.
