Madagascar's national television (TVM) is expanding its programming with Russamada TV, a new weekly show dedicated to relations between Madagascar and Russia. Broadcast every Thursday at 7 p.m., the program aims to inform the public about the main areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Hosted by journalist Fabienne Andomalala Rakotomananjo, the show will cover news on Russian-Malagasy cooperation while highlighting the culture, history, and partnership prospects across various sectors.
The program is supported by the African Initiative and the Russian-Malagasy Friendship House, in partnership with TVM. Following broadcasts on social media and the Malagasy National Radio (RNM), this new television version aims to reach a wider audience across the country.
Structured around four segments, the show will feature a review of major milestones in Madagascar-Russia cooperation, presented by Antsa Rahadraniriana. Another segment will focus on bilateral partnership news, while a Russian language learning section will be hosted by Nadiejda Doubinina, a Russian teaching specialist from Saint Petersburg.
The launch of this program comes as the two countries strengthen their exchanges, ahead of the 55th anniversary of their cooperation, to be celebrated in 2027.
