As the 2026 baccalaureate approaches, exam subjects are subject to strict security measures. From their development to their delivery, each step is rigorously controlled to guarantee their confidentiality and equality among candidates.

Before being distributed in examination halls, baccalaureate subjects undergo several verification stages. Their development takes place in a highly secure environment to preserve the confidentiality of the tests.

For each subject, each Regional Directorate of National Education (DREN) prepares three subject proposals. Specially designated teachers participate in their design. To guarantee the confidentiality of the content, the designers are placed in quarantine. During this period, they are cut off from the outside world and cannot communicate with their loved ones. The selected subjects are then identical in all regions of the country to ensure fairness among candidates.

"After packaging, the subjects are wrapped and then transported out of the conclave under close surveillance. The convoy is followed by cameras to the deposit sites, including military camps or prefectures. These locations are also under video surveillance to ensure permanent control," said a source at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research yesterday.

Under escort

From these storage points, center heads collect the envelopes intended for their respective establishments. Transport to examination centers is then carried out under escort, in accordance with a rigorous procedure.

"The subjects are transported to examination centers according to a strict procedure, due to their sensitive nature. Their transport begins this week. The most remote centers are served as a priority, and convoys are placed under escort," explains Angelo Raherinirina, director general of Higher Education.

Sealed envelopes will only be opened on the day of the exam. "Certain details of the security system remain confidential to guarantee the integrity of the exam subjects," continues our source.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research wishes to reassure the public. Enhanced control measures have been put in place to preserve the confidentiality of subjects and guarantee the integrity of the baccalaureate throughout the country. Furthermore, a digital monitoring system allows tracking of sellers of fake exam subjects on social networks.

Baccalaureate exams will take place from Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24 for the general baccalaureate as well as for the first part of the technological, technical and professional baccalaureate. The second part of these exams will be held from Monday, July 27 to Thursday, July 30.
