They organized awareness and information activities regarding gendarmerie strategies to protect the public and strengthen community cooperation, with coordination between the two police branches at the local level. Residents were also engaged through simple but effective actions to combat theft. Contact numbers were distributed to all, enabling people to call and alert police authorities when suspicious activity is detected in the community, particularly cases of insecurity. The head of the mobile gendarmerie unit then explained the responsibilities and mission of the National Gendarmerie in protecting people and their property, emphasizing the challenge of maintaining lasting security in the region. It is worth noting that the population expressed gratitude to the gendarmerie commander, particularly to an officer known as Benjamin from Maromalandy fokontany, for his efforts in combating insecurity, with hopes that such work will continue in the future.
