"Zahako ny Nosiko": Promoting Rural Tourism
The second edition of the "Zahako ny Nosiko" salon, organized by ATM Consulting in partnership with ORTANA (Analamanga Regional Tourism Office), will take place from July 16-18, 2026 at Antaninarenina Garden. The first edition was a success, according to organizers. "This event, sponsored by Chalets du Voyageur and KRED Madagascar, aims to promote rural tourism while highlighting farmers' expertise. We also encourage city dwellers to go hiking in rural areas," said Alain Rajaonah, the project initiator, to the press. The salon brings together diverse stakeholders representing multiple themes including rural gastronomy, ecotourism, leisure spaces, freshwater fishing, crafts, accommodations, and entrepreneurship. "We have set up 26 stands to showcase exhibitors' offerings. For example, fishing equipment, ponds for rent, live fish, and regional culinary products will be presented. Ideas for outings, especially for children during this holiday period, will also be proposed during this salon, which will feature folk groups. Recycling workshops will also take place," he added. In parallel, panel discussions on various topics will be organized Thursday and Saturday mornings at Antaninarenina Garden, and Friday at the Antananarivo Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, talented young people who received technical and financial support from the House of Entrepreneurship will share their business development and job creation experiences as part of this second edition of "Zahako ny Nosiko."
