Civil society organizations in the Atsimo Andrefana region launched regional consultations on reconstruction and development. One hundred ten civil society associations from the nine districts comprising the region met for three days in Toliara. "The objective is to gather the aspirations of civil society associations on what they mean by reconstruction and development. The resolutions will be drafted and sent to the national level. It should be noted that all twenty-four regions are organizing their own regional consultations," explains Laurentia Rabe, regional focal point. Ten essential points were raised and deemed urgent to address for genuine reconstruction of the Atsimo Andrefana region.
