The 12th edition of the International Tourism Fair (ITM) and the 3rd edition of the International Handicraft Fair (IHM) have concluded with positive outcomes. According to data shared by Madagascar's National Tourism Office (ONTM), attendance and performance indicators for this dual event significantly exceeded initial forecasts.
"29,932 visitors recorded, compared to nearly 24,000 visitors in 2025. 478 exhibition stands with 379 exhibitors. Publication of a special ITM newspaper with 22,000 copies printed. 120 B2B meetings organized during the two professional days of the fair, involving 55 local operators," reported the organizer yesterday during the prize-giving ceremony for raffle winners held at the Cité des Cultures in Antaninarenina.
The event significantly strengthened Madagascar's international standing. The fair brought together major tourism and handicraft stakeholders at national, regional, and international levels. More than twenty countries, including France, Comoros, the United States, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Kenya, Reunion, South Africa, Spain, Uganda, and Poland, were represented at this event.
These figures illustrate the reach of the ITM fair, held from June 11-14 at CCI Ivato, in promoting Madagascar as a destination.
