Nirinasoa Caelah Nomenjanahary was murdered at her home in Ambohitsoa. Her body bears multiple stab wounds, according to her devastated family. The family will transport Nirinasoa Caelah Nomenjanahary's body to Amboasary Atsimo.
Crime. Monday morning, in Ankazolava Ambohitsoa, in the second district, Nirinasoa Caelah Nomenjanahary, known as Nirina, 32 years old and mother of a 3-year-old boy, was found severely injured at her home. She succumbed to her injuries.
Rushed to HJRA hospital, doctors confirmed this was not a fall, as her in-laws had claimed, but rather a homicide. "This is not a fall, it's murder. There are traces of bladed weapons," a doctor told her family.
Pauline, the victim's sister, recounts being notified by phone and rushing to Nirina's home. She explains that initial witnesses hesitated to take her to the hospital despite her critical condition.
Motionless on her bed
"I found my sister motionless on her bed, unable to move. They said she had fallen, but the injuries were too severe," she testifies. According to her, Nirina already suffered from an illness that prevented her from getting up alone. Doctors discovered multiple wounds to the neck, hands, back, as well as mutilations to the face and ears. "It was an unbearable sight," Pauline adds.
Another sister, Jeanne Razafindramaho, confirms having filed a complaint against unknown persons. "If she had fallen, she wouldn't have had so many injuries. Police and doctors clearly stated this was murder," she explains. So far, no arrests have been made. Nirina's husband was at work at the time of the incident, while their child was with the sister-in-law who usually cared for the victim.
Nirinasoa Caelah Nomenjanahary's remains will be transported to Amboasary Atsimo. The family awaits police investigation to shed light on this atrocious crime. In the neighborhood, shock is total. Neighbors claim they heard no suspicious sounds nor noticed unusual behavior.
But for those close to her, the matter cannot go unanswered. "We want truth and justice for Nirina," the family repeats, hoping authorities will quickly establish the exact circumstances of this murder and identify those responsible.
