The 4th edition of the Dona Be festival promises to be grand and community-focused, according to organizers. The organizers of the Dona Be Antsohihy festival held a press conference on Tuesday to present the 4th edition of this major cultural event in northern Madagascar, at Andraharo. Scheduled for July 23-26, the program is more ambitious than ever, combining performances, carnival, popular entertainment, sports and social initiatives. The opening night will take place on July 23. The highlight will be the Carnival on July 24 at 2 p.m., followed by major performances from July 24-26 on the Terrain Travaux. In total, Dadi Love and at least 19 other artists will perform on stage to deliver a memorable show. "The stage has been improved, the number of artists has increased at the public's request, and the festival is enriched this year with a stronger social dimension. After a large mass circumcision ceremony last year, the 2026 edition will offer free eye consultations and care. A 'Toko Be' space will also showcase local culinary arts, a true identity of Antsohihy," explains Ardy. The carnival promises to be particularly lively, with numerous market stalls and varied entertainment throughout the event. The election of Miss Dona Be will crown these festive days. The sports program will also be prominent, featuring cycling competitions, marathon, basketball, and moraingy. Dadi Love, artist and ambassador of Yas Madagascar, reassured the public: "This festival is not reserved for Antsohihy residents alone, it is open to everyone. Security is well ensured, everything is in place for people to come with peace of mind." Yas Madagascar actively supports the initiative, seeing Dona Be as a lever for cultural, economic and social development for the region.
