Tragedy. Two men lost their lives in the early hours of Tuesday on the Ivato ring road after their blue Subaru overturned into a canal near Lake Iarivo. The alert was raised at 23:17. Twenty minutes later, rescue teams recovered the first body, a man approximately 32 years old. His companion was not found until early morning, around 5:30 a.m. Investigators are focusing on the possibility of drunk driving. Bottles of alcohol and beer were discovered inside the vehicle. Police remained at the scene at 8 a.m. to secure the area and continue their investigation. This tragedy occurred just two days after another fatal accident at the same location, where a sergeant died on a motorcycle after falling into the water. A local resident testifies that this section is particularly dangerous. The road abruptly narrows from four lanes to two lanes without clear signage.
