SAMIFIN: Call for Applications Open for Director General Position
The call for applications for the position of Director General of the Financial Intelligence Service (SAMIFIN) has been open since July 6 and will continue until August 11, 2026, according to the Committee for the Safeguarding of Integrity (CSI). This recruitment follows the appointment of former Director General Mamitiana Rajaonarison to the position of Prime Minister. In the interim, Haja Lalao Razanamanana is serving as acting head of the institution to ensure service continuity. Four-year mandate Candidates will be evaluated on file, through a morality investigation and pre-selection by an ad hoc committee. They must notably justify confirmed experience in governance matters and expertise in combating money laundering, terrorism financing, and financial crime. In accordance with the decree of April 17, 2026, three names will be proposed to the President of Refoundation before the appointment of the new Director General in Council of Ministers, for a four-year renewable mandate once.
