Bongatsara: Man Found Dead, Organs and Valuables Missing
A man from Antsahabe in Bongatsara Atsimondrano was brutally murdered, stabbed twice with large knives. His organs and all valuables beneath his clothing were stolen. The 30-year-old man's body was discovered Friday morning at a location called Ambohibao in Bongatsara. According to reports, this family man had left home to sell chickens. He was last contacted around 9 a.m., after which no further news was received. His family explained his absence as unusual behavior, and police were called but no missing person report was filed. Their shock intensified when they learned their relative had been found dead at Ambohibao. Medical examiners estimate the man was killed approximately six hours before his body was discovered, likely at night, though possibly at another location. His body was found near a cemetery after thieves discovered what they sought. Police describe it as a premeditated murder, with stab wounds to the chest and neck designed to be fatal. The organs and valuables were apparently removed afterward by the perpetrators. The family has since received the body following investigation. Bongatsara police and Andoharanofotsy district authorities are conducting the investigation and search for those responsible. Police urge anyone with information about suspicious activity during that period to come forward.
