The Urban Municipality of Antananarivo (CUA) has officially implemented a new traffic circulation plan around La City Ivandry. Signage has been installed along this route. A "Left Turn Mandatory" sign was placed at the roundabout facing the La City shopping center, requiring drivers to turn left at this location. A "Stop" sign was also installed at the intersection leading to Soamandrakizay, making a complete stop mandatory before proceeding. Additionally, the opening of a left lane completes this system to facilitate access and improve traffic flow in the area.

Effective since late last week, the CUA's new traffic plan on Alarobia-Ivandry aims to optimize traffic on this axis. "The system primarily targets the La City Ivandry roundabout, a major problem area where drivers' directional changes caused significant congestion," said a CUA official.

The new plan includes closing the S-curve opposite the La City Ivandry roundabout to cars and motorcycles, with a barrier installed. The road in front now runs one-way toward Soarano, bringing the number of lanes toward Ankorondrano to three. Access to the Ivandry commercial zone is now via Lumin'Art.

Improved traffic flow was observed by drivers over the weekend. "We're unsure if it's the weekend effect, when traffic is traditionally lighter, but we encountered no congestion during our two Saturday passages, whether in the morning or late afternoon," said one user. According to CUA information, testing phases last week confirmed improved circulation speed during peak hours. CUA sources indicate traffic officers will be deployed to guide drivers. The system is currently in an observation phase.
