Nearly three thousand rock enthusiasts vibrated for five hours yesterday at Stade Barea Mahamasina for an anniversary concert marked by sharing and unity. A human tide of almost three thousand fans flooded Stade Barea Mahamasina to celebrate Malagasy rock in all its diversity. The Ultimate Show, organized by Garage Mozika Production, marked the fifth anniversary of the structure with a clear ambition: to offer a major popular gathering dedicated to musical quality and intergenerational connection.
On stage, three emblematic bands delivered a five-hour live performance that extended into the night as the atmosphere remained intense and public demand strong. Mage 4, Iraimbilanja, and Rheg The Gang performed their hit songs and iconic pieces, including Na dia maizina for Mage 4, Antsika ny Rock with Rheg The Gang, alternating with cross-covers between the bands in an electric and festive atmosphere. The mixed audience, some coming from regional areas, responded massively to the call, confirming that rock remains a unifying and quality-demanding music.
Message of Cohesion
According to Rado Ramamonjisoa, the event's success exceeded expectations: "Expecting half and ultimately doubling the overall objective," he summarized, satisfied with the strong mobilization. He also emphasized the project's purpose: "A celebration conceived as a popular gathering, in a larger space to allow the public to fully experience the celebration."
The spirit of the Ultimate Show was based on sharing. Mage 4's song "Ifampizarana" served as a guiding thread, illustrating this message of unity. On stage, the bands exchanged their repertoires: Rheg The Gang performed a song by Iraimbilanja, Mage 4 covered a Rheg The Gang track, and a Mage 4 piece was performed collectively.
The concert was also marked by a surprise performance by Lija, while the musical part was enriched by the participation of musicians such as Rolf and Andry Ramamonjisoa on guitar and other instrumentalists, strengthening the collaborative dimension of the show.
Beyond the performance, the event carried a strong message of cohesion between musical currents. "There is sometimes a separation between rock and metal, but here they share the same stage," Rado Ramamonjisoa recalled, emphasizing the desire for artistic rapprochement.
Founded five years ago, Garage Mozika is both a production structure and a cultural space based at 67 Ha. With this Ultimate Show, it confirms its role as a driving force in promoting inclusive Malagasy rock, with an event already announced for next year.
