Transition authorities are preparing to officially inaugurate the National Road 13 (RN13) connecting Ambovombe to Tolagnaro (Fort-Dauphin) this Friday and Saturday. After three years of rehabilitation work, the asphalt paving of this section was completed in October 2025, just before Andry Rajoelina's fall from power. Financed by the European Investment Bank and the European Union, the financing agreement was finalized in late 2017 under the mandate of Hery Rajaonarimampianina. The 114-kilometer stretch represents a major infrastructure project for the region.
