This major event aims to bring healthcare closer to the local population by offering numerous consultations, screenings, and medical services entirely free of charge, while strengthening the skills of healthcare professionals. The program will begin on Wednesday, July 8 at 9 a.m. with a training session focused on pediatric pathologies and cancer, specially reserved for medical staff and health agents. Subsequently, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the facility will open its various departments to launch the first wave of free consultations and medical examinations for users. Thursday, July 9 will be entirely devoted to free care for the general public, with consultation slots scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., then from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., across all hospital departments. Offerings A wide range of medical and surgical specialties will be accessible during these two days. One of the highlights of this campaign will be free surgical interventions for patients suffering from thyroid pathologies and goiters. In parallel, visitors will be able to benefit from general health assessments including diabetes screening, blood pressure control, and specific pediatric consultations for children. Ophthalmological care will also play an important role, with glaucoma screening and eye examinations for reading glasses prescription, particularly targeting people aged 40 and over. Early screening for cervical cancer will be offered to women, while expectant mothers will be able to undergo pregnancy monitoring ultrasound examinations. The facility will also emphasize oral health through a free dental extraction service, as well as orthopedics, with scoliosis screening and spinal deformities detection in adolescents aged 10 to 16, complemented by practical advice on spinal health. CHU Anosiala officials clarify that the number of places for these consultations and interventions is limited.
