The Avana Centre is blowing out its five candles. The Avana School and Educational Centre marked a historic milestone by celebrating its fifth anniversary during a day filled with sharing and conviviality. Founded in 2021, this unique institution fills a genuine institutional gap by supporting adolescents facing mental health challenges or neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism, hyperactivity, and DYS disorders. From just a dozen students at its opening, the centre has now established itself as a reference point. It displays great ambitions by aiming to welcome around fifty adolescents for the 2026-2027 school year. To support this development, Avana has just moved into a brand new facility located in the heart of the city, in Amboditsiry. Support A dozen specialized educators, including speech therapists, psychomotor specialists, and occupational therapists, work in synergy with a psychologist who is permanently present. To actively prepare young people for the world of work, the centre has also developed numerous practical workshops including cooking, sewing, computer science, aesthetics, music, and event logistics.
