An unannounced inspection by the President of the Refoundation at a landfill site in the Bypass area. Michaël Randrianirina, President of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar (PRRM), conducted an unannounced inspection early yesterday morning in the Bypass zone while heading to Iavoloha Palace. He was accompanied by the Minister of Land Development and Land Services, Lylison René de Rolland. On site, the head of state directly verified the ongoing landfill works. Approximately fifteen trucks loaded with earth were found on the site, immobilized since the previous day to allow for verification, in the interest of transparency. Law enforcement The PRRM recalled that all land landfill operations must strictly comply with applicable legal procedures. Initial findings revealed that the construction site lacked the required authorizations, despite the nature of the site being deemed suitable for construction. Faced with this situation, immediate measures were announced: seizure of trucks, suspension of works, refusal to grant building permits for the project in question, application of fines provided by law, and legal proceedings against those responsible for the site and landfill operations.
