In recent days, several fake press releases and forged documents, presented as coming from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), have been circulating on various platforms. This situation risks misleading citizens and fueling fraudulent practices for abusive speculation purposes. Faced with this proliferation, the ministry is calling on the public to remain vigilant. In an announcement released this week, it recalls that only press releases, information, and documents published on its official channels, particularly its website and institutional pages, can be considered reliable and valid. Any other unverified publication should be treated with caution. The ministry also invites citizens to contact its competent services directly if they have doubts about the authenticity of a document or announcement. This approach allows for obtaining official clarifications and avoiding falling into the trap of ill-intentioned individuals. In a clarification, the ministry further specifies that it offers no loans and does not collaborate with any money-lending organizations. While certain departments may have approved credit purchases from a few stores, repayable over several months, no loan request endorsed by the ministry exists, according to an internal source. The ministry thus warns the perpetrators of these fraudulent schemes and disclaims all responsibility for any consequences arising from these fake documents.
