BEPC 2026: Zero Tolerance Against Fraud
The LMA centre records the highest number of candidates for this 2026 session. The Ministry of National Education and law enforcement are deploying maximum security measures across the entire island for the BEPC exams. In total, 327,815 candidates are registered throughout the national territory. The First Cycle Certificate of Studies (BEPC) will take place across the entire national territory from 6 to 9 July 2026. The Ministry of National Education (MEN) is pulling out all the stops to guarantee the proper conduct and credibility of the exams. On Tuesday, 30 June 2026, at an event in Antaninarenina, the Minister of National Education sought to reassure: "To date, no subject leaks have been reported," she stated firmly. Collaboration has been established between law enforcement and ministry teams. In the digital age of smartphones, cheating risks have evolved. Aware of this reality, the ministry has deployed a vast awareness campaign on social networks and throughout the school year to prevent abuses linked to new technologies. For candidates who might attempt to circumvent the regulations anyway, the minister reminded that authorities would show no leniency. In total, 327,815 candidates will sit this year to obtain their first secondary diploma. Regarding options, the distribution remains balanced. Option A records 174,760 candidates, while Option B brings together 153,055 candidates. There are 115 School Districts (CISCO) fully mobilized for the event. For the exam phase, 1,101 examination centres will open their doors, providing a total of 9,446 examination rooms across the country. Lycée Moderne Ampefiloha (LMA) stands out again with its exceptional capacity. The establishment expects no fewer than 2,991 candidates, who will be judiciously distributed across 63 examination rooms. The youngest candidate in this session is only 10 years old and will sit his exams in the Amboasary Sud CISCO. At the other end, showing fine perseverance, the oldest candidate is 38 years old and will sit in the Bekily CISCO.
