Strengthened cooperation between the Orange Group and Malagasy authorities is consolidating their shared commitment to telecommunications and digital transformation in Madagascar. This direction aligns with the Malagasy government's priorities, which view digital technology as an essential lever for population and territorial development.
This momentum was highlighted during a meeting between Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa (Orange MEA), and Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, President of the Refoundation, held yesterday at Iavoloha Palace. The discussions reaffirmed the strategic importance of the telecommunications sector in modernizing the country.
Continuing this trajectory, the Orange Group, through Orange Madagascar, reaffirms its lasting commitment to the socio-economic development of the Great Island. In collaboration with authorities, institutions, NGOs, associations, and local communities, the operator is deploying several initiatives to promote digital inclusion and empower populations.
Particular attention is being paid to young people, children, and vulnerable women to bridge the digital divide and foster more equitable access to opportunities offered by digital technology.
