The cargo ship 'LSS SUCESS' was 200km off Madagascar's coast yesterday Sunday at 4am. Much ado about nothing. The vessel flagged by Malagasy authorities since Saturday as 'suspicious' turned out to be nothing of the sort. The cargo ship 'LS SUCESS' had been indicated as diverted or illegally circulating in Madagascar's exclusive economic zone. Mozambican authorities stated the vessel was supposed to reach Guinea-Conakry, but Saturday night it was detected some 200 kilometers from Androka, on the Atsimo Andrefana coast. Sunday during the day, the boat went silent on radio, which alerted local authorities. Since the vessel carries livestock—some five hundred live zebu heads—authorities feared potential animal contamination if the ship touched Malagasy shores. On the 'Marine Traffic' application, which shows real-time vessel movements worldwide, the cargo ship is heading toward Mauritius. Monday, the boat activated its radar and yesterday it activated it again. Yesterday evening around 8pm, 'Marine Traffic' indicated it had transmitted its position 4 hours earlier.
