Pipe replacement work continues on Jirama's water distribution network in Antananarivo. Following major pipe replacement operations in Ambohimiandra, Jirama is pursuing its interventions on the drinking water distribution network in the capital. The objective remains the same: repair defective pipes, limit water losses, and quickly restore supply to affected neighborhoods. In this context, eighteen cases of pipe ruptures were repaired on June 27, 2026. The interventions covered several sectors of Antananarivo and its surroundings, notably Manjaka-Ilafy, Analamahitsy, Ambatomaro, Manjaka, Ambohitrarahaba, Ambohimangakely, Analamahitsy Tanàna, Ampefiloha, Andavamamba, Anosizato-Est, Andranoro, Ambohidroa, Anjohy, Ankatso, Manakambahiny, and Ampasamadinika. These repairs are part of Jirama's ongoing efforts to improve the continuity of drinking water service, in a context where leaks and pipe ruptures regularly disrupt distribution. The company thus invites users to quickly report any broken pipe cases to enable faster intervention by technical teams.
