The minister sought to reassure the public by declaring that all necessary measures are being taken to end the energy crisis affecting the city as quickly as possible. However, on the ground, the discourse struggles to convince. For more than three months, residents of Varatraza have endured power cuts at a relentless pace. Economic activities are disrupted, small businesses suffer losses, students study in difficult conditions, and households struggle to adapt to a prolonged situation. For some, this new promise merely repeats old ones. Announcements multiply, technical explanations and megawatt figures are repeated, but the blackouts continue. Many now await results rather than declarations. The end of July is now a critical moment. Residents hope this deadline will finally bring stable electricity supply, essential for normal resumption of activities and to restore confidence in the authorities.
