The fight against childhood cancer and youth education will be the main pillars of the Lions Club Antananarivo Ilohasina's program for 2026-2027. A new mandate has begun under the leadership of the club's new president, Michaela Rakotoarivelo, who succeeds Rina Robson following the gavel ceremony held on June 7, 2026. The new president intends to pursue continuity by continuing the club's previous program on fighting childhood cancer, while prioritizing youth and education. Michaela Rakotoarivelo places youth at the heart of her mandate, which officially begins tomorrow, July 1, 2026. The program includes three components: support for students' academic success through promoting reading, mentoring and material assistance in the form of school supplies; training responsible citizens in terms of civic duty, leadership and environmental commitment; and finally, promoting youth health and well-being in several areas: prevention, hygiene and healthy eating.
