Seven men have been arrested following the fatal robbery of a foreign national in Ambolokandrina. They are suspected of either participating in the attack or receiving stolen goods. The suspects were apprehended separately by police after the incident occurred several weeks ago. Some are believed to have directly carried out the robbery, while others are accused of receiving the stolen items.

The investigation conducted by the Criminal Brigade (BC) has concluded, and the case was transferred to judicial authorities last week. The suspects have been placed in provisional detention at Tsiafahy and Antanimora.

On the night of Friday, August 28, a foreign national passing through Ambolokandrina was robbed and attacked. The assailants struck him with a nail-studded club, causing severe head injuries that proved fatal. All his belongings were stolen during the incident.

The third section of the Criminal Brigade (BC3) in Anosy launched an investigation. Three men suspected of committing the robbery were apprehended in Mandroseza on September 3. Police tracked one suspect through the victim's phone, which led to identifying his two accomplices.

The investigation continued, and four additional men suspected of receiving stolen goods were arrested in Marovoalavo Ankadimbahoaka on September 4. Several items were recovered from them, including a pistol, eleven bullets, and numerous materials intended for criminal activities.

Beyond this fatal case, police indicate that the suspects are robbers operating in the areas of Ambolokandrina, Ambohipo, Mandroseza, and Andohan'Imandroseza. They are also believed to be responsible for armed attacks and motorcycle thefts. The suspects range in age from 19 to 28 years old.
