Students are being encouraged to become entrepreneurs. At IT University Andoharanofotsy, where computer science education has always been strong, a new specialization has been added to its training offerings. "These students, who carry project ideas, are trained to create and lead businesses," said Olivier Robinson, rector of IT University, yesterday during the inauguration ceremony of Digital Leadership and Administration, which is part of the institution's 15th anniversary celebrations.
A partnership with the Ministry of Industry was signed to support students in entrepreneurship. "Graduates of this program will manage and lead companies. This approach is in complete alignment with Madagascar's economic and industrial reality," Robinson continued.
The project begins with several targeted sectors: agriculture and livestock first, followed by mining resource exploitation, wealth management, and finally export and international trade.
Students will also receive financial support through the university's partnerships with banks. "There are support offers from their part for the best projects, so they also have financing to launch their activities," the rector explained.
