Women entrepreneurs gathered around action. Finding financing, accessing new markets, or growing their business. For women entrepreneurs, these challenges remain present daily. They will be at the heart of the National Congress of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Madagascar, scheduled for September 17 and 18 in Antananarivo. Nearly a hundred participants and delegates are expected for this second edition organized in the Analamanga region. "Approximately 30% of businesses are led by women," says Fanja Razakaboana, president of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Madagascar. Their presence is found in several sectors, though persistent obstacles remain, particularly in accessing financing and markets.
Over two days, discussions will focus on issues directly linked to business life. Leadership, financing, professional image, positioning, business development and risk management will be addressed. The idea is to allow participants to leave with useful knowledge and contacts for their activities.
The network currently has ten regional associations, nearly two hundred women entrepreneurs and represents over four hundred fifty businesses. Beyond exchanges between members, the congress must also strengthen links between different regions and open new collaboration possibilities. A pop-up store will also allow participants to present their products and services. A way to transform meetings into concrete contacts and, for some, into business opportunities.
On Friday, September 18, certain sessions will be open to women who are not network members. They will be able to discover the exchanges and possibilities offered by this community of entrepreneurs. For Fanja Razakaboana, empathy is one of the qualities that characterize women entrepreneurs. "They must be supported," she emphasizes. Behind the theme "From Belonging to Action," these two days aim to strengthen a dynamic based on exchange, mutual aid and collective action.
