Madagascar is hosting the Youth Leader Summit in early October. The goal is to encourage young people to take initiatives. The organizers of the Youth Leader Summit presented the first edition. Believing more in one's abilities and encouraging young people to take initiatives and develop their projects: such is the ambition of the first edition of the Youth Leader Summit, organized by the Junior Chamber International Madagascar and the Junior Chamber International Iarivo, on October 1st and 2nd, 2026 at the City of Cultures in Antaninarenina. Notably driven by the Junior Chamber International Iarivo, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2026, this first edition will also be one of the highlights of the National Convention of the Junior Chamber International Madagascar. For Antsa Andrianarivelo, local president of the Junior Chamber International Iarivo, the event is part of the desire to create spaces for exchange around youth, leadership and entrepreneurship. More than 600 young leaders, entrepreneurs and visitors are expected, as well as more than 100 delegates from the Junior Chamber International from different regions of the island. During these two days, several activities will be offered, including practical workshops, training, conferences, an exhibition space and meetings with professionals. Opportunity The objective is to create a framework allowing young people to strengthen their skills, share their experiences and especially make their projects known. Participants will also be able to exchange with companies, organizations as well as public and private institutions likely to contribute to the development of their capacities. "The Youth Leader Summit is an event organized by the Junior Chamber International Madagascar and the Junior Chamber International Iarivo to allow young people to promote their projects, become bolder and find guidance for their projects," explains Raharisoa Maeva Agnes, president and leader of the Youth Leader Summit. For the organizers, youth engagement also involves the possibility of meeting people and structures capable of supporting them in their initiatives. Partners and exhibitors will be able to present their offers, their youth capacity development projects as well as their commitments to their empowerment. These exchanges should also allow participants to better understand the opportunities available to them. The meeting thus aims to bring youth closer to the professional world. By presenting their ideas and exchanging directly with various stakeholders, young people will be able to better publicize their initiatives and benefit from feedback likely to help them in their journey. The Youth Leader Summit thus intends to place young people at the heart of discussions and meetings. Through the training, workshops and exchanges planned, the initiative seeks to give them tools to better carry their projects and promote their engagement in society.
