The disciplinary council of Toliara University examined irregularities detected during the 2026 baccalaureate exams in the former Toliara province. Eighty cases were recorded, ranging from phone fraud, cheating cases, twelve duplicate cases, twelve candidate substitutions, threats or disrespect, and two disruption cases. Fraudulent candidates face five years of exam ban, candidate substitutions and duplicates are also banned from exams for five years, and disrespect cases are barred from taking the baccalaureate for two years. "Any teacher found responsible for awarding grades that do not reflect reality will no longer be able to sit as a member of the baccalaureate jury," states the disciplinary council's note. A case involving seven people arrested at a house on the Maninday campus was also examined. Three students enrolled at Toliara University, a former student, and three outside persons are involved. A final warning was issued to them, and any repeat offense will result in their permanent exclusion from the university and loss of student status. An illegal construction erected within the campus is subject to demolition, and the student involved faces expulsion from the institution.
