During her visit on Friday, she met with Boeny regional chief Nasolo Adakalo at his office in the administrative building in Ampisikina. France's honorary consul in Mahajanga, Rafik Kalfane, also attended the meeting. Annabelle Averty arrived in Madagascar in early September, succeeding former Consul General Jean-Louis Roth. "Many collaborations exist between France and Madagascar, particularly between the department of La Réunion and Boeny region. Other collaborations are also underway. The presence of numerous French nationals residing in Madagascar, particularly in Mahajanga, is testament to this. Your visit strengthens ties between French and Malagasy citizens. Strengthening decentralized cooperation between the two parties was also discussed.
