Gunfire erupted the day before yesterday in 67 Ha. Additional shots were heard overnight in the Trano Dimy sector of Ampangabe Anosibe. The popular 67 Ha neighborhood was the scene of a police intervention the day before yesterday.

According to information gathered, these two incidents occurred during the pursuit of criminals. Two men, identified as perpetrators of an attack carried out in the morning, were killed during two successive police operations. Loaded weapons were found on them, while their accomplices managed to escape.

An armed robbery took place the day before yesterday around 9 a.m. in Anosibe Ambilanibe. The victim, a woman operating a cash point, was wounded by assailants armed with rifles and knives. They stole money and her mobile phone from her. Elements of the Criminal Brigade (BC), supported by the National Police Support and Reinforcement Service (SAG), immediately went to the scene. The search was then launched.

"The police were informed by a concerned citizen of the presence of suspicious individuals at 67 Ha Vatobe. They were attempting to sell phones of questionable origin. BC and SAG elements went to the location. When attempting to apprehend them, the two suspects fled while opening fire. Officers returned fire and hit one of them. A pistol and five cartridges were found in his possession. According to initial investigation findings, he participated in the morning attack. The search continued to find his accomplice, who had managed to escape," the National Police stated.

In the evening, around 9:30 p.m., officers spotted criminals in the Trano Dimy sector of Ampangabe, suspected of being accomplices of the man killed at 67 Ha. They were reportedly preparing another attack. According to information provided, they opened fire as soon as they saw law enforcement. An exchange of gunfire erupted. Hit by bullets, one of the suspects succumbed to his injuries. A homemade rifle and seven cartridges were found in his possession.
