Drug proliferation in the capital remains a serious concern. During a search and raid operation conducted by the National Police on the evening of Thursday, September 10, 2026, four individuals were apprehended in possession of cannabis and arrested. The Tsaralalàna Police led this operation, which is part of efforts to strengthen public security and combat drug trafficking in Antananarivo Renivohitra. Multiple areas were targeted in the searches and raids, including Analakely, Ambodifilao, Behoririka, Antanimena, Ankorondrano, Ankazomanga, and 67 Ha. The four individuals were apprehended during these operations. They were immediately taken to the Tsaralalàna Central Police Station for questioning. The investigation is expected to help determine the source of the drugs and identify any networks that may be involved in this trafficking operation.
