Students enrolled in preschool at Axian Foundation prioritize preschool in its educational initiatives. Recent visits were made to EPP Mahazoarivo II in Antsirabe and EPP Andafiatsimo in Ambatolampy. At Mahazoarivo II, nearly 120 children aged 4 to 5 are enrolled in preschool. They are divided into two classrooms and supervised by four teachers. Reading workshops were also organized at EPP Mahazoarivo II. Children received the book "Diary Nofy" along with school kits and various materials. These activities aim to foster a love of reading and prepare them for primary school entry. Axian Foundation works with Kozama association, its technical partner in deploying preschool initiatives. More than 50 preschool facilities have been built in Madagascar, out of 249 schools completed by Axian Foundation. At EPP Andafiatsimo in Ambatolampy district, 552 students are currently enrolled. Axian Foundation's support has improved infrastructure and learning conditions. However, the school still needs desks and benches, particularly for preschool classes. Preschool allows children to acquire foundational skills before entering primary school. Construction of appropriate classrooms and teacher support contribute to their preparation. The goal is to enable children to enter primary school under better conditions.
