Igor Tchaika, director of Rossotrudnichestvo, and Artem Kureev, editor-in-chief of African Initiative, have signed an agreement for the creation of a Russian Partnership House in Madagascar. The signing ceremony took place at the Civil Chamber of the Russian Federation. Russian Houses will serve to promote and develop projects around language, science, art, and Russian values.

"A Russian partner house is not just a building. It is above all people: people who visit our houses, receive additional training there, and discover Russian culture and history. It is through our Russian Houses that we promote a modern, authentic, and effective image of Russia abroad," Tchaika stated.

The need to develop this collaboration with representatives of African countries was announced on the occasion. The opening of Russian partner houses in Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Togo, and Senegal is also planned.

Vladimir Rogov, president of the Commission of the Civil Chamber of the Russian Federation for support to compatriots and the development of public diplomacy, emphasized that Russian Houses should become platforms for civilizational dialogue.
