The city of Brickaville, specifically its general education college, hosted this week the celebration of World Literacy Day organized by the poetry circle "Sandratra". Nothing particularly unusual: traditional poetry readings filled the program, and various competitions were also organized, in the presence of local authorities responsible for the city and education. All young participants received gifts to encourage them to pursue reading and writing, including books and school supplies. Faribolana Sandratra is one of Madagascar's literary and poetry circles, officially founded in 1989, though its roots trace back to 1982.
