The death toll continues to rise following the tragic Ambohidahy disaster. A woman in her thirties succumbed to her injuries Wednesday evening at Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona Hospital (HJRA), bringing the total number of fatalities to five. Despite intensive efforts by the emergency medical team, the victim could not survive her severe injuries. Three other injured persons remain under close medical supervision at the hospital. Meanwhile, investigations by Antananarivo's Accident Brigade (BAC) are intensifying. The taxi-be driver on line 186 has had his custody extended by 48 hours to allow investigators to conduct thorough questioning. According to sources close to the case, the driver underwent medical examination yesterday to assess his physical and neuropsychological condition at the time of the accident, as well as to detect any traces of substances that could impair driving.
