Law enforcement in Toamasina made every effort to apprehend the man responsible for the death of a woman known as "Sandrina" in Morarano. The man faces serious charges of homicide following an investigation that revealed he was attempting to flee to Antananarivo after killing his wife in a domestic dispute. The victim's family and residents of Morarano were outraged and managed to intercept him. On Wednesday, September 10, in the early morning at the Tanambao V bus station, just as he was about to board a bus to Antananarivo, locals blocked his path to prevent his escape before law enforcement could arrest him. The residents of Morarano Pelle 21/11, where the couple lived, had already confronted him about the murder. Investigations revealed that marital conflicts were a frequent source of tension between them, though the man had a history of violence. According to initial reports, the couple was sleeping when he attacked his wife, apparently due to jealousy over her interactions with others. When he realized she was no longer breathing, he panicked and fled, only to be caught due to his family's refusal to help him escape. He will face prosecution and trial for the homicide. By Didier
