The 8th International Fair for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (FIA) and the 2nd International Gastronomy Festival (FIG) opened yesterday at CCI Ivato. The event continues until September 13 with participation from producers, farmers, industrialists, operators and investors. Over one hundred stands have been set up for this edition. Ten business sectors are represented during these four days. Several partners have also provided support for organizing this event initiated by MadaVision. The objective is to promote exchanges between different stakeholders and increase the value of local products. Production – Transformation – Development. This is the guiding principle of the 8th FIA and 2nd FIG editions. This approach highlights local production and product transformation, aligning with the State's General Policy for Refoundation, which prioritizes local production and transformation as well as support for the private sector to develop the economy. The Ministry of Industrialization and Private Sector Development (MIDSP) is among the government ministries overseeing the event. Minister Ny Riana Nampoina Raharimanjato emphasized the importance of mobilizing all stakeholders. "We must mobilize all actors, as they are all interdependent in promoting the economy and improving living conditions for Malagasy people," he stated. The FIA-FIG allows different stakeholders to present their products and develop their exchanges. The agriculture, livestock, fisheries and gastronomy sectors are represented through various stands at CCI Ivato. The event continues until September 13.
