Injet's machinery at Ambodivona. The assets of Injet company at both Ambodivona and Ambatomena sites have been seized. Following the freezing of bank accounts, movable assets are now targeted. The Agency for Recovery of Illicit Assets (ARAI) proceeded yesterday late afternoon with the seizure of equipment and movable property of Injet company at Ambodivona. This operation is part of judicial proceedings against the company owned by the Rajoelina couple. An ARAI team, led on site by its Director General Rado Rajhonson, entered the company premises to conduct an inventory of the assets in question. Cars, machinery, computers and furniture were notably catalogued by agency staff. The operation, which took place before Injet employees' eyes, lasted over an hour. Company officials, when approached, declined to comment. For Rado Rajhonson, this is a procedure following the normal course of justice. "This is a normal procedure following the decision of the anti-corruption unit," he emphasized while directing the ARAI team on site. However, it should be noted that this seizure comes after the freezing of Injet's bank accounts. ARAI is thus moving to a new stage of the procedure, with equipment and company assets now under seizure. But for this agency, seizure does not mean immediate removal. The assets in question remain on site, in the company's premises. This arrangement aims, according to ARAI's director general, to allow the company to continue operations despite the ongoing judicial procedure. "We did not move the seized equipment because the objective is to keep the company running even with the judicial procedure underway," explained Rado Rajhonson. Tension The retention of equipment at Injet's premises does not mean they escape ARAI's control, declared the agency's director general. Periodic inspections are planned to ensure seized assets are not moved. "If certain seized equipment is moved, we are obliged to take appropriate measures," warned ARAI's Director General. At the Ambodivona premises, tension was palpable yesterday among employees during the agency's intervention. Faces were closed while the inventory continued. The operation was not limited to the company's headquarters. According to Rado Rajhonson, the seizure procedure for equipment at Injet's workshop in Ambatobe has also already been completed. This ARAI intervention also sheds light on Injet's history. The company was created in 1999 by Andry Rajoelina, at a time when he had not yet entered politics. Injet became known in the advertising sector and was renowned at that time for its innovations. The company also developed activities in various fields and notably worked on certain state contracts. On this latter point, some sources suggest that operations conducted by Injet were always carried out within a legal framework, including for certain state-related contracts. The ongoing judicial procedure will therefore determine responsibilities and the status of the various assets concerned.
