Passengers at Antananarivo's international airport now have an additional contact point to report potential corruption. An independent anti-corruption bureau kiosk was officially installed yesterday at Ivato as part of a partnership with Ravinala Airports. The collaboration between the two institutions has been active for nearly two years and aims to reduce corruption risks within the airport platform. The system allows users, passengers and various airport stakeholders to inform themselves, raise awareness and, most importantly, report suspicious practices. Reports can be made at the kiosk, by phone using the number displayed on-site, or by scanning QR codes on airport screens. Users can also report directly to the independent anti-corruption bureau. The identity of those making reports remains confidential. This initiative responds to findings from a diagnostic assessment conducted at various airports across the country. Certain practices and procedural gaps were identified as potentially facilitating corruption. The objective is therefore to act preventively by reducing these risks and providing users with a more accessible way to report issues. For Daniel Lefebvre, general director of Ravinala Airports, passenger experience quality also depends on an environment based on trust and integrity. The partnership with the independent anti-corruption bureau aims to strengthen this dimension at Antananarivo and Nosy Be airports. Gaby Nestor Razakamanantsoa, general director of the independent anti-corruption bureau, emphasizes that fighting corruption relies not solely on sanctions. Prevention, awareness and participation from all stakeholders are equally necessary. He stresses the need for collective mobilization in the fight against corruption.
