The Institut Médical de Madagascar (IMM) has reached a new milestone in community engagement. The facility hosted last Sunday the inaugural edition of its civic initiative called "a solidarity Sunday". For this launch, the spotlight was on pediatric medicine through the targeted operation "Echo for our children". Mobilized from the early hours of the day, IMM's medical and paramedical teams took turns providing completely free pediatric ultrasound examinations to young patients with medical prescriptions. Examinations. Three types of key examinations were on the program for this screening day, namely cervical ultrasound for exploring ENT and lymph node conditions, inguino-scrotal ultrasound focused on detecting common ductal and testicular pathologies, as well as abdomino-pelvic ultrasound dedicated to monitoring visceral disorders in children. Beyond the free technical services, this day of social action was primarily driven by a strong human dimension. Between consultations, practical advice and attentive listening sessions addressing parents' concerns, the medical team established a genuine climate of trust.
