Passenger transport cooperatives serving the southern route have been authorized to remain at the Fasan'ny Karàna bus station. According to the site manager, this outcome resulted from negotiations between the Minister of Land Planning and the owners of the land where Fasan'ny Karàna bus station is located. Recall that the Ministry of Transport and Meteorology had granted a 15-day deadline from August 31, 2026, for transporters at this station to relocate to Amoronakona due to the need to return the land, which is private property, to its owners. Following negotiations, part of the land will be made available to transporters. National lines serving the southern route will remain at this site, while cooperatives serving northern and western routes will move to Maki Andohatapenaka bus station, and those on the eastern route will relocate to Amoronakona. However, operations at Fasan'ny Karàna will undergo changes, particularly regarding security and sanitation. It should be noted that this bus station, operational for over 23 years, is located in an environment marked by chaos, extreme unsanitary conditions, and an atmosphere of insecurity endangering users.
