Southern route operators will keep their parking at Fasan'ny Karana. The fifteen-day deadline granted to cooperatives operating at Fasan'ny Karana to vacate and relocate to Amoronakona is approaching. Despite this imminent deadline, some transporters may ultimately remain on site.
According to the head of Fasan'ny Karana parking, discussions have been held between the Minister of Land Planning and the landowner. The latter reportedly agreed to make part of his property available to cooperatives. The space would be reserved for transporters continuing to serve southern destinations.
Other routes will be distributed across different sites. Transporters serving the East must relocate to Amoronakona, while those operating northern and western routes are to settle at Maki Andohatapenaka bus station. This reorganization is also expected to bring changes to Fasan'ny Karana's operations. Authorities announce notably enhanced security and cleanliness on the site. The fight against pickpockets is among the priorities mentioned.
Authorities thus assure they will take necessary measures to improve parking operations as the fifteen-day deadline approaches.
